Tom Conti in 'Wife After Death'

Tom Conti (Tony and Olivier Award Winner, Oscar and Golden Globe Nominee) in Eric Chappell’s comedy gem Wife after Death. One of the finest actors of his generation, Conti is renowned for acclaimed West End and Broadway plays Whose Life is it Anyway, Present Laughter and The Real Thing and hit films Shirley Valentine and Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence. Tom Conti also directs Wife After Death with Tom Kinninmont.

In life, Dave Thursby was a hugely successful television comedian, loved by the public. In death, he leaves his wife, agent and companions bereft. They are going to miss Dave terribly. Some of them may even be out of work. Unless, of course, the repeat television specials, biographies and newspaper tell-alls can fill the vacuum! And who is best placed to fill the legacy?

Eric Chappell’s script reflects both a lifetime of working with comedians and an understanding of a comic genius’ ego - both are exposed hilariously in Wife After Death.
